ABOUT

Born in Manhattan and raised in New Jersey, Alex got his start as the baby prince in a local production of Sleeping Beauty. Eventually seeking to exceed this  star turn as an infant, Alex went to Northwestern University,  earning a  B.A. Theatre with Honors in Directing, a minor in Psychology, and a certificate in Musical Theatre. While at school, Alex had fun, sang with Freshman Fifteen and produced works as a graphic designer

Alex has performed regionally  with the American Musical Theatre Project, National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene, Skyline Theatre Company, Passaic Valley Summer Theatre, and Rocky Mountain Repertory Theatre. Last spring, Alex played Younger Brother in Ragtime (The Gallery Players), taking much joy in finally having a suitable outlet for his political frustrations.

"Most impressive was Alex Bird, who is charismatic and believable as Younger Brother"

"Alex Bird is perfect as Younger Brother"

"Another standout voice is that of Alex Bird as Younger Brother, the searcher who becomes so sensitized to racial injustice that he radicalizes"
